Hi – I’m Amanda! I was born in Washington, DC and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. I am a mom to a 13 year old son, and wife of a retired Marine. My other babies include a yellow lab named Sparky, and a grumpy cat named Oscar.

 

I became a photographer for many reasons. Squishy cheeks, tiny toes, tantrums, tears, and smiles are just a few of them. Families change year after year, children grow, they lose teeth, and then they go off to college.

 

Photography allows me to freeze those moments in time, preserved forever. I will never forget the moment I got to meet my son for the first time. His fuzzy little mohwak, his chubby cheeks, his tiny button nose. I am so in love with all of his photos as a newborn, because it is how I first met him, and he has never looked the same again.

 

I love capturing each year in a family’s life. Pregnancy, a new baby, a new sibling. Capturing milestones for a new baby is amazing, from newborn to sitting to celebrating a first birthday. Those portraits are magic.
